Woke up to the neighbors playing Louis Armstrong and decided to publish my first blog post! My personal creative outlet; a place to share ideas, photos, music, fashion, fun and eccentricities.  It will most likely documented chaotically in a sort of stream of conscious narrative.

It's officially fall in Echo Park, warm days and chill nights. The smell of fireplace wood wafting in the air and the sound of broken bottles as festive neighbors walk drunkenly along the Avenue. . Anyhow, I don't have a fireplace but I replicate the wondrous smell of campfire by burning cedar incense constantly. mmmm.  Some of my favorite incense pictured below:

Pinon by Incense of the West are the best for fall and smells like a campfire or fireplace.  Stories book store in Echo Park sells them.

Moving along, Halloween just ended and my costume(s) inspiration came from my interest in 70's psychedelic horror movies, and I decided to wardrobe myself accordingly. Some titles that come to mind are Dunwich Horror (1970) staring Sandra Dee, The Daughters of Satan (1972) staring Tom Selleck, The Devil's Rain (1975) staring William Shatner. Actually, I'm sure there will be future post dedicated to this specific genre of cinema. I just love the vintage appeal, not to mention the acting, makeup, facial hair and wardrobe! That being said, my costume(s) this Halloween sort of represented my fascination with these films.

Happy Fall!

Found this amazing dress in perfect condition at an Echo Park Vintage shop!

My friend Mike didn't have a costume so we created an impromptu preacher cowboy equipped with a literary weapon.
